Celestix Industries is looking for a proactive and cost-conscious Purchase Engineer to manage procurement operations for custom wiring harness components
, ensuring reliable supplier sourcing, on-time material availability, and quality compliance. This role connects procurement strategy with production planning to drive both cost efficiency and operational readiness.

• Procurement & Sourcing
• Identify and evaluate suppliers for wires, connectors, terminals, and other electrical components.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms to achieve cost-effective procurement.
• Develop and maintain long-term supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and industry regulations.
• Material Planning & Inventory Control
• Collaborate with production and planning teams to forecast material requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and establish effective reorder systems.
• Support Just-in-Time (JIT) inventory practices while minimizing carrying costs.
• Cost Optimization & Budget Management
• Perform cost analysis and identify alternative sourcing opportunities.
• Drive supplier development and cost reduction initiatives.
• Track procurement budgets and report cost-saving achievements.
• Quality Assurance & Vendor Coordination
• Ensure all purchased materials meet Celestix quality standards and applicable certifications.
• Coordinate with the Quality team to inspect incoming materials and resolve non-conformance issues.
• Manage supplier quality concerns through structured corrective actions.
• Logistics & Delivery Monitoring
• Coordinate logistics for domestic and international material deliveries.
• Monitor supplier lead times and shipment status to prevent production delays.
• Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain accurate purchase orders, contracts, supplier records, and procurement documentation.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, and company standards.
• Stay informed about market trends and new technologies related to wiring harness components.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Finance teams.
• Provide technical support to suppliers to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
• Supplier Development & Continuous Improvement
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers based on quality and capacity benchmarks.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and implement development programs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing and supply chain operations.

• B.E. or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or a related Engineering discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience in procurement within wiring harness or electronics manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of sourcing strategies, ERP systems, and quality management standards.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
