Position
School Nurse (Japanese Boarding School)
Essential Duties- Administers first aid, manage medications, and provide medical treatments to students as needed
- File and maintain students’ health information in compliance with New York State Law and HIPPA regulation
- Coordinates health services with outside medical institutions
- Assist the school doctor to conduct physical examinations, administer vaccine, conduct diagnostic test and medical screening
- Communicates with parents, school doctor and relevant school personnel regarding students’ health
- Take on‑call shifts (outside of health center hours of operation) 3-4 times per week while the school is in session.
- Performs other administrative duties as assigned by the School
08:00-18:00 (Mon-Sun) 40h / week. Night call duty required, approximately three times per week.

Salary, BenefitStarting Salary from $80K~. Night call duty: $60 allowance per day.

HolidaysMid‑June to Mid‑August, and December 17 to January 5:
School closed, no work required. You may leave the school, only responding to email inquiries from parents. (Returning to Japan or taking vacation is OK.)
- NYS license as RN or transferable license as RN from other states
- CPR/First Aid/AED Certified
- Ability to work cooperatively with Health Center members, school doctor, faculty and staff from other departments including resident faculty and senior management.
- Flexibility to work overtime and on weekends as needed
- Japanese and English bilingual
