Stable, privately owned manufacturing company seeking a Full Charge Bookkeepe
r to oversee the company's day-to-day accounting operations. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for the full accounting cycle while working directly with ownership and supervising one Accounting Assistant

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full-cycle accounting function
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with month-end and year-end close
  • Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries
  • Perform bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Process and/or oversee payroll
  • Maintain inventory accounting records and assist with inventory reconciliations
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare financial reports for ownership
  • Coordinate with the outside CPA on year-end audits and tax preparation
  • Ensure accounting records are accurate and compliant with GAAP
  • Develop and improve accounting procedures and internal controls
  • Supervise and support one Accounting Assistant
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and other special projects as needed
Qualification
  • 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience with responsibility for the full accounting cycle
  • Experience preparing financial statements and completing month-end close
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Manufacturing or inventory accounting experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience working directly with ownership or senior leadership is a plus
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a hands-on environment
