Kindergarten Paraeducator

Putnam Elementary School is looking for a caring, patient, and energetic Kindergarten Para educator to join our team! In this full‑time role, you'll be a vital part of our kindergarten classrooms, helping our youngest learners grow and thrive. You'll support students with various learning needs, providing academic, behavioral, and social‑emotional assistance throughout the school day. We're searching for someone who loves working with young children and is committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

You'll work closely with teachers, assisting with activities, helping with classroom management, and providing individual and small‑group support. This position requires a great deal of patience, empathy, and the ability to follow directions and adapt to the ever‑changing needs of kindergarteners while always maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Putnam Elementary School offers a strong, collaborative culture of caring educators who leverage resources to nurture and challenge our students.

Putnam facilitates strong district‑wide alignment and support across all three schools in the district to ensure the student’s educational experience prepares them for the real world.

Full‑time: 35 hours per week

Putnam Elementary School

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Required)
• Para Pro Test or equivalent of 2 year's college credits – 60 credits
• Experience working in a school system preferred

Immediate opening

$19.67–$21.74 per hour
