POSITION:
Special Education Para educator
Full-Time: 35 hours per week
Putnam Elementary School is looking for a caring, flexible, and dependable Special Education Para educator to join our team, specifically supporting students within a specialized program. This full-time role is crucial in empowering elementary students with diverse and often intensive learning needs, helping them navigate their academic, social, and emotional growth in a structured and supportive environment.

Our district facilitates robust district-wide alignment and support across all three schools, ensuring each student's educational experience comprehensively prepares them for the real world.
MAJOR
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Support elementary students with diverse learning needs, providing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assistance.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and specialists to implement instructional and behavioral plans.
* Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
* Provide individual and small group support to students as directed by certified staff.
* Adapt to evolving student needs and assist with classroom activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent
* Successful completion of the Para Pro Assessment OR at least 60 college credits from an accredited institution.
* Experience working in a school system is preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, showing patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Ability to follow directions from certified staff, maintain a high degree of professionalism, and ensure confidentiality at all times.
START DATE:
Immediate Opening
RATE OF PAY: $19.67 - $21.74 per hour
