Job Description:

Putnam Elementary School is seeking a caring, flexible, and dependable individual to join our team as a Literacy Para educator. This part-time position supports students in developing essential reading and writing skills by providing small group and individual assistance, reinforcing classroom instruction, and encouraging a positive attitude toward literacy. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to helping young learners succeed, collaborate closely with teachers, and foster an inclusive, supportive environment where all students can build confidence and grow as readers and writers.

POSITION:
Literacy Para educator

* Part-Time: 20 hours per week

LOCATION:

Putnam Elementary School

QUALIFICATIONS:

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Required)

* Para Pro Test or equivalent of 2 year's college credits - 60 credits (Required)

* Experience working in a school system preferred

* Experience supporting students in literacy intervention programs preferred

START DATE:

August 24, 2026

RATE OF PAY: $20.36 - $22.50 per hour

* based on contractual requirements
