Special Education Teacher in Putnam, CT

You'll serve high school students across grades 9-12 in North Grosvenordale, providing essential instruction and support to those with mild to moderate learning needs within an inclusion/resource setting.

What You'll Do:

• Deliver targeted instruction based on students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adapt your teaching methods to meet student needs in both resource and inclusion classroom settings
• Foster positive collaborations with general education teachers and other support staff
• Regularly track and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments to instruction
• Ensure ongoing compliance with state and district special education procedures

What We're Looking For:

• Current Connecticut Special Education Teacher Certification for grades 9-12 (provisional licenses are not accepted)
• Previous experience supporting mild to moderate special education populations is strongly preferred
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to student development and academic growth
• Ability to implement IEP goals and maintain accurate records
