Maintenance Technician

The Job You Will Perform

Follow all safety rules and practices, observe safety policies and procedures, and identify unsafe conditions or actions to management immediately.

• Perform maintenance functions making repairs such as but not limited to electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, design, peripheral device programming, machine programming, and plumbing under minimal guidance of the maintenance supervisor.
• Troubleshoot and perform maintenance duties such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and HVAC repairs.
• Accurately read gauges and other test equipment.
• Utilize basic shop math; inspect as needed.
• Respond to and complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Support installation of new equipment and facilities improvements.
• Maintain compliance with company quality systems and support audits.
• Participate in clean-up functions as needed, such as blowing down the machine, wiping off shafts, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area.

• 2 years of related mechanical experience in an industrial manufacturing production environment.
• Mechanical Journeyman or Technical/Vocation Certificate preferred.
• Experience/knowledge in electrical circuit troubleshooting, plumbing, pneumatics, mobile equipment, and MIG welding.
• Ability to update and create electrical drawings.
• Ability to adapt to change, problem solve and prioritize work.
• Ability to bend, squat and kneel, and climb frequently.
• Ability to stand for a minimum of 3 hours.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and with varied hours/days.
• Ability to lift average weighted materials, 50 lbs up to 70 lbs occasionally.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical and electrical schematics, piping diagrams in orthographic, isometric, and sketch-views.
• Reading factory orders; action oriented; customer/quality focused; priority setting.
