Registered Nurse; RN , Part Time Operating Room

Day Kimball Healthcare is hiring for a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room Part Time, 32 hours, Day Shift job in Putnam, CT.

• Clinically competent RN who demonstrates expertise in one or more of the following areas: SDA, ODS, IV Therapy or Endoscopy.
• Clinically competent RN who demonstrates expertise in the perioperative field.
• Performs circulating and/or scrub duties.
• Demonstrates understanding and practice of aseptic technique.
• Must have mechanical ability to deal with a large number of machines and special equipment in the department (e.g., electrocautery units, autoclaves, tourniquets, positioning equipment, instrumentation of each service, video equipment, perioperative suite in total, ligasure).
• Meets the physical demands of the position.
• Demonstrates ability to cope with and function under stress.
• Meets skill certification requirements for designated units.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Licensed and currently registered as a Professional Nurse in the state of CT.
• BSN preferred.
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire required.
