Day Kimball Health is hiring for a Constant Attendant for Patient Staffing Department as a part-time job, 24 hours, all shifts available, in Putnam, CT. Constant Attendant summary:
As the Constant Attendant, you will be a vital member of a dynamic team responsible for… Although the name of the position is Constant Attendant (CA), the position has two distinct types of observation. As a CA, the observation of patients is less strict and could mean observing more than one patient. As a 1:1, this type of observation is strict and requires remaining with the patient at all times at an arm's length.
Patients on 1:1 observation are on suicide precautions or restrained for behavioral management. The expectation is to work four shifts per month.
Constant Attendant job responsibilities include remaining alert and in visual contact with the patient at all times, assisting the patient in daily activities as directed by the nurse, and assisting the nurse in restraining and removing restraints.
1:1 job responsibilities include maintaining direct 1:1 constant observation, keeping the patient within an arm's length at all times, even when the patient is bathing and toileting, remaining alert and in visual contact with the patient at all times, assisting the patient in daily activities as directed by the nurse, and assisting the nurse in restraining and removing restraints.
Constant Attendant education and experience requirements include a high school graduate or equivalent preferred and prior experience preferred, but not required.
Constant Attendant knowledge, skills, and abilities include meeting the physical demands of the position, demonstrating the ability to cope with and function under stress, and being trained in non-violent crisis intervention.
