Day Kimball Healthcare – Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) – Day Shift, Full Time, 40 Hours – Putnam, CT
As the Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for diagnosing responses to actual or potential health problems and for providing basic emergent, supportive, and restorative care through the nursing process, demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age‑appropriate care to patients in your assigned responsibility.

Job Responsibilities
- Clinically competent RN with expertise in one or more of the following: SDA, ODS, IV therapy, or endoscopy.
- Clinically competent RN with expertise in the perioperative field.
- Performs circulating and/or scrub duties.
- Demonstrates understanding and practice of aseptic technique.
- Manages a large number of machines and special equipment, including: electrocautery units, autoclaves, tourniquets, positioning equipment, instrumentation of each service, video equipment, and perioperative suite equipment such as ligasure.
- Meets the physical demands of the position.
Demonstrates ability to cope with and function under stress.
Meets skill certification requirements for designated units.
Registered Nurse (RN)Education and Experience Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- Licensed and currently registered as a Professional Nurse in the state of CT.
- BSN preferred.
- Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire required.
