As a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for the Part Time Night Shift (24‑HRs) Medical Surgical Unit, you will diagnose and respond to health issues and provide supportive, restorative care using the nursing process while meeting the unique needs of patients of all ages.

• Assess the patient’s physical, psycho‑social, emotional, cultural, spiritual and discharge needs according to age and developmental level.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, ensuring completeness and accuracy of documentation.
• Demonstrate accurate technical skill and operational knowledge of patient care equipment and procedures.
• Evaluate the plan of care and reformulate goals as necessary.
• Develop and implement a plan of care for each patient.
• Recognize unsafe and life‑threatening situations and intervene appropriately.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut.
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire.
• Current NVCIT (Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention Training) certification or within 3 months of hire.
