As the Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for diagnosing responses to actual or potential health problems and for providing basic emergent, supportive, and restorative care through use of the nursing process. The ACU RN demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned responsibility.
Job Responsibilities- According to age and developmental level of the patient, systematically assess the patient's physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, spiritual and discharge needs.
- Utilize effective oral and written communication skills to ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation.
- Demonstrate accurate technical skill and operational knowledge of patient care equipment and procedure.
- Evaluate the plan of care and reformulate the goals as necessary.
- Develop and implement a plan of care for each patient.
- Recognize unsafe and life‑threatening situations and intervene appropriately.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred.
- Connecticut State license required.
- Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire required.
