Day Kimball Health is hiring an Advance Practice Provider (APP) in our Wound Care Clinic!
Location:
Putnam, CT
Shift: Day shift; 16-24 Hours
Job Summary
The APPdelivers comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with acute and chronic wounds in an outpatient wound care setting. Working collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation, podiatry, infectious disease, home health, and primary care providers, the APP provides evidence-based wound management, performs bedside procedures within scope of practice, develops individualized treatment plans, and promotes optimal healing while preventing complications.
APPKey Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients with acute, chronic, surgical, diabetic, venous, arterial, and pressure wounds.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, including vascular, neurological, and infection evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based wound care practices.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Connecticut.
- DEA registration
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical APP experience preferred.
- Wound care experience strongly preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
