ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Pathways Opiate Treatment Program is an accredited program specializing in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) using methadone. The program provides individual and group therapy, psycho-educational groups, individualized treatment planning, recovery coaching and harm reduction services, ongoing assessments and referrals.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administer daily MAT (methadone and buprenorphine) per physician/APRN orders and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and dispense individual doses; ensure accuracy and chain‑of‑custody procedures.
  • Transport and secure controlled medications between CHR OTP clinics, mobile clinics and correctional facilities in compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor patient response to treatment, conduct assessments and observe for side effects or adverse reactions.
  • Conduct and monitor toxicology screens.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR consistent with program and agency standards.
  • Manage medication inventory: ordering, restocking, and reconciliation in compliance with CHR and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with prescribers, clinical team and DOC staff regarding patient care, progress and safety issues.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, trainings and other required activities.
  • Ensure compliance with DOC, CHR, and safety/security protocols.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Provide coverage for at least one weekend per month and two holidays per calendar year.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Degree/Certification in nursing or related health care field preferred.

Experience: None required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: RN or LPN license in Connecticut required; CPR certification and valid driver’s license.

COMPENSATION

$30 per hour. Flat hourly rate for per diem and fee for service positions.
