Quality Inspector

Job Description

Image Tek/Montrose, a rapidly expanding contract manufacturer in Putnam, CT, is looking to add a Quality Inspector to our growing team. The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing products and overseeing operations for a company to ensure they meet production standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with establishing quality standards for products the company produces within in ISO 9001 Guidelines
• Read specifications to ensure that operations meet production standards
• Prepare samples for testing
• Recommend any necessary adjustments and changes to production processes
• Inspect and test the materials and products produced
• Use equipment such as microscopes, micrometers, etc. to measure products
• Remove and reject products that do not meet production standards and recommend strategies to improve product quality
• Accept or reject finished products and discussing inspection results with the production team
• Perform inspections at random to assess product quality
• Perform other duties, within reason as requested by Management

• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Technical skills and ability to understand Procedures, Work Instructions, documents and manuals
• Knowledge of basic math and computer skills
• Ability to communicate and influence others to follow rules and regulations within both the Quality and Manufacturing Departments
• Strong leadership skills and teamwork mentality
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Dexterity, physical strength and physical stamina
