We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team full-time as an Insulation Estimator at Insulation Northwest. In this role, you'll play a key part in driving our company's growth by providing accurate estimates for insulation projects, whether for retrofitting existing homes (working directly with homeowners) or new residential construction (collaborating with builders and project managers). Help us expand sales, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and meet insulation needs across the Greater Pacific Northwest.
Compensation:Yearly pay starts at $52,000 (depending on experience). The position is fully commission-based with a draw, offering unlimited earning potential for top performers.
Responsibilities:- Schedule and conduct on-site visits:
Meet with homeowners for retro projects or collaborate with builders and project managers on new construction sites. - Perform precise measurements, take photos, and assess site conditions, including reviewing blueprints or existing structures.
- Prepare detailed estimates, bids, and scopes of work tailored to client needs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with building codes.
- Follow up with clients (homeowners, builders, or project managers) throughout the sales, bidding, and project execution process to address questions and secure contracts.
- Meet and exceed sales goals by identifying upsell opportunities and building strong client relationships.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing client concerns promptly, clearly explaining project details, and ensuring a positive experience from initial contact to project completion.
- Strong background in construction, with knowledge of insulation materials, installation techniques, and building practices.
- Proficiency in engineering principles related to energy efficiency, structural integrity, and thermal performance in residential settings.
- Solid mathematic skills for accurate calculations of material quantities, costs, and project timelines.
- Proven track record in sales or estimating, preferably in the insulation, construction, or home improvement industry.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to listen actively, resolve issues effectively, and maintain positive client relationships.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel to client locations (homes or construction sites).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively negotiate and build rapport with diverse clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel for cost modeling, Outlook for scheduling, and Access for database management.
- Physical ability to access attics, crawl spaces, climb stairs and ladders, and navigate construction environments safely.
