American Sign Language (ASL) Para-educator – Full Time | Puyallup, WA | 2025–2026 School Year
Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time ASL Para for the 2025–2026 school year in Puyallup, Washington
. This is an in-person position working with a great and supportive school district. If you're passionate about supporting students who are Deaf or hard of hearing and want to work with a values-driven, therapist-founded agency — we’d love to hear from you!
- Position: ASL Para – 1:1 position (must be fluent in ASL)
- Schedule:
Full Time, Monday through Friday; 6.15 hours per day - School Year:
-starting ASAP - In-person only
- Proficiency in ASL required - as demonstrated in district interview
- Associate's degree or higher is preferred
- Fingerprinting required prior to start
- School-based experience preferred but not required
- EIPA of 3.5 or higher a plus
- Provide direct 1:1 interpretation for a student throughout the school day
- Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff
- Support access to curriculum and social interactions in the classroom
- Collaborate with the student’s educational team
