Puyallup School District is seeking qualified school counselor applicants with skills, abilities, and willingness to provide school counselor support to our district's schools/departments. Substitute School Counselors provide coverage for absent Counselors throughout the school district.

Position Hours/Days:
At-Will/On-call, based on the 2025-26 SY Calendar

Position Rate of Pay 25/26 SY:

* Full Day Rate (Greater than 3.75 hrs) = $196.66

* Half Day Rate (Less than 3.75 hrs) = $98.33

Job Description

Required Qualifications:

* Master's Degree from an accredited college or University (Verifiable per unofficial Transcripts) - Documentation MUST be uploaded

* Current Washington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Certificate, with a School Councelor endorsement

* Experience working with children in an instructional capacity

* Ability and desire to work on a constant basis - minimum 2 times a month

Clearances:

* Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance

* This Substitute position is screened by the Substitute Services Office ~ Sub Services and Hired by our Equity and Achievement Department
