Job Description

Founded in 1992, Cascade Christian Schools serves infants through grade twelve and today is a thriving school district serving students and families throughout Pierce County. Focusing on Christ-centered education, Cascade Christian Schools is dedicated to developing discerning leaders who are spiritually, personally, and academically prepared to impact their world.

Responsibilities
  • Implement activities from curriculum, manage supplies, set up and prep work of materials and program space
  • Teach and actively engage students in each activity
  • Ensure the safety of children and staff at all times
  • Provide a warm, clean and loving atmosphere
  • Assist with and actively participate in all areas of the THRIVE program
  • Maintain a developmentally appropriate environment in the classroom
  • Develop activities that meet the group and individual needs of students
Requirements
  • Agrees with Cascade Christian Schools'Statement of Faith and Teaching Statements
  • Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass a background check clearance
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Obtain a food worker card
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs, hike, swim, climb stairs
  • Has a positive attitude
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrates an attitude of support and encouragement
  • Willing to complete ALL required trainings including HIV/AIDS & annual blood borne pathogen training
  • Meets the preferred one to two years of experience in early childhood education
  • Ability to work indoors/outdoors; can be subjected to inclement weather
  • Accept supervision and guidance from supervisors and administrators
  • Perform ALL expected duties in a professional manner
Work Hours

Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Salary Range

$21.05 – $24.30 per hour, depending on experience

Position Duration

This position runs from June 11 – August 14, 2026
