CTE Teacher – Teachers of Tomorrow

Position details: 0.4 FTE. Calendar: 180‑Day. Rate:

Qualifications
  • Teaching Certificate: Hold or be eligible to obtain a CTE teaching certificate with appropriate 3 years full‑time occupational experience‑based endorsements, including:
    • V200002 – CTE Family and Consumer Science Education Degree.
    • College program and BA Degree plus 2000 Occupational Experience other than teaching.
    • Must also apply for the Residency Teacher certificate.
  • OR apply to add the endorsement to your teacher certificate and take/pass the basic skills test and the content knowledge test.
  • OR
    • V200212 – Must complete an approved CTE Plan 2 Business & Industry Route Teacher preparation program.
    • Must submit a Bachelor's degree or higher conferral.
    • Verification of 6,000 hours of occupational experience as a teacher at elementary, middle, or secondary levels.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Hold or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED and OSHA Trainer certifications.
    • Pass criminal background fingerprinting with WSP and FBI.
    • Complete OSPI required training.
    • Be willing to serve as a CTSO advisor.
  • Proof of qualification:
    Hold or be able to obtain a teaching certificate with OSPI and appropriate endorsement.
