What we're seeking:

• Current certification with a 4.0 EIPA or RID credential
• Proficiency in American Sign Language and interpreting in educational settings
• A deep commitment to supporting students' academic and social success
• Previous experience as a sign language interpreter, preferably in schools
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and families
• Ability to adapt quickly and provide support in dynamic, student-focused environments

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direct 1:1 sign language interpretation for a student throughout the school day
• Deliver accurate and confidential interpretation of classroom instruction, activities, and interactions
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers to support equal access to education
• Collaborate with educational staff to enhance the student's learning experience
• Adapt interpreting style to meet the unique needs of each situation
• Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times
