Child Care Breaker

Cascade Christian Schools, a high-quality, independent, interdenominational school system, is accepting applications for a childcare breaker at our Puyallup Early Learning Center. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Implement predetermined lesson plan and manage the classroom while the teacher is on break

* Maintain a nurturing, Christian environment in the classroom

* Facilitate activities that meet the group and individual needs of students

* Promote educational progression of students

REQUIREMENTS:

* Agrees with Cascade Christian Schools' Teaching Statement and Statement of Faith.

* Must be at least 18 years of age

* Have a High School Diploma or GED

* Flexible to assist in classrooms as needed

* Excellent communication and people skills

* Able to work with a variety of students of ages

* Ability to lift 30 lbs.

* Ability to attend job-related activities during non-work hours (compensated)

* Prefer a minimum one-year certification or two years of experience in Early Childhood Education

* Willingness to meet CPR/Current First Aid and other regulatory requirements

* Willingness to obtain CDA coursework

* Demonstrate an attitude of support and encouragement

WORK HOURS:

Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

ASAP

SALARY RANGE:

$19.05-$22.30
