Application Process

Internal Candidates: Current PEA employees with a Continuing or Provisional contract may bid internally by following the provided link.

External Candidates: Apply through the Frontline applicant system. Provide a minimum of three professional references from current and former supervisors, including email addresses, and ensure references respond promptly.

Requirements

Certification: Applicants must hold (or be eligible to obtain) a CTE teaching certificate with the appropriate three‑year full‑time occupational experience–based endorsements:

  • V078000:
    College program and BA degree plus 2000 hours of occupational experience other than teaching. Must also apply for the Residency Teacher certificate or add the endorsement to your teacher certificate, and pass the basic skills test, content knowledge test, and obtain the Residency Teacher certificate or endorsement before the initial CTE certificate can be issued.
  • Introduction to AI Explorers (V521206)
  • Introduction to Business Arts (V521401 or V520100)
  • Introduction to AI Graphic Design (V100100, V210100, or V521206)
  • Computer Science Discoveries (V07000, V141000, V210100, V521206, or V470110)
  • Yearbook (V100100, V210100, V521206)

Additional Requirements:

  • Must hold or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED and OSHA Trainer certifications.
  • Pass criminal background fingerprinting with WSP and FBI.
  • Successfully complete OSPI required training.
  • Willing to advise a CTSO organization, attend advisory meetings, and submit all required CTE documentation.

Qualification:

  • Candidates must hold or be able to obtain a teaching certificate with OSPI, including the appropriate endorsement.
