Academic Coordinator

Job Description

Founded in 1992, Cascade Christian Schools serves students from infancy through grade twelve in Pierce County. The school focuses on Christ‑centered education and strives to develop spiritually, personally, and academically prepared leaders.

The Academic Coordinator supports high‑quality teaching and student learning by overseeing effective use of Canvas (LMS) and leading the campus‑wide WIN (What’s Important Now) enrichment and intervention program. This role helps maintain strong academic systems and programs that support student success.

• Monitor and support teacher use of Canvas, including timely updates, alignment to standards, and consistency across courses
• Provide training, feedback, and guidance to improve instructional use of Canvas
• Partner with administration to refine expectations and conduct periodic course audits
• Oversight of JH/HS curriculum mapping
• Lead the Thursday WIN (enrichment/intervention) program, including vision, structure, scheduling, and staffing
• Ensure students receive targeted support or enrichment based on data and teacher input
• Monitor effectiveness and continuously improve the WIN program
• Support school improvement goals and assist with master schedule development
• Provide professional learning in Canvas, differentiation, and intervention strategies
• Facilitate collaboration across teachers, teams, and departments

• Agrees with Cascade Christian Schools’ Statement of Faith and Teaching Statements
• Demonstrates Christian character in attitude, speech, and actions
• Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of teaching experience
• Experience with Canvas or other LMS platforms
• Knowledge of grades 7–12 school operations
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to design intervention and enrichment systems
• Commitment to a respectful, inclusive school environment
• Availability for meetings, devotions, and occasional evening events
• CPR/First Aid certified (or willing) and able to pass a background check

Full‑time, Monday through Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Approximately August 19, 2026

$26.25 – $29.15 per hour, depending on education and experience.
