Applicants must hold (or be eligible to obtain) a CTE teaching certificate with the appropriate 3-years of full-time occupational experience-based endorsements:
Vcodes to teach the following courses (must have Vcode alignment for each course):
- 490102 Introduction to Flight (V490102, Must complete an approved CTE Plan 2 Business & Industry Route teacher preparation program. Verification of 6,000 hours of occupational experience as an aircraft pilot OR as a part of a flight crew. OR V470608, Must complete an approved CTE Plan 2 Business & Industry Route teacher preparation program. Verification of 6,000 hours of occupational experience as an aircraft mechanic, airframe technician, or airline flight crew.)
- 470601 Aircraft Systems (V470608, Must complete an approved CTE Plan 2 Business & Industry Route teacher preparation program. Verification of 6,000 hours of occupational experience as an aircraft mechanic, airframe technician, or airline flight crew.)
- 150405 Basic Drone Operations (V470101, Must complete an approved CTE Plan 2 Business & Industry Route teacher preparation program. Verification of 6,000 hours of occupational experience with repair AND maintenance of electrical systems AND electronic equipment, industrial robotics and mechatronics, AND communications systems.)
* Must hold an FAA Part 107 UAS commercial license
Must be willing to advise a CTSO organization, attend advisory meetings, and submit all required CTE documentation.
Additional Requirements- Must hold or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification
- Pass Criminal Background Fingerprinting with WSP and FBI
- Successfully complete OSPI required training
- Candidates must hold or be able to obtain a teaching certificate with OSPI, including the appropriate endorsement.
