Since 1998, we’ve grown into a leading treatment plant contractor in the Northwest and Mountain West. As we continue expanding into broader heavy civil markets, we’re building our presence across the region and taking on increasingly diverse and challenging work.

Why do we exist?

We seek to glorify God by creating opportunities for our employees to use their unique gifts through construction to serve our families, clients, and communities.

The Opportunity

We’re hiring a senior Heavy Civil Estimator to play a key role in our continued growth.

You’ll take the lead on complex pursuits, work closely with leadership on bid strategy, and help strengthen the systems and processes behind our estimating function.

With active expansion into markets like dams, pipelines, mass earthwork, and large-scale infrastructure, this role offers the chance to work on challenging projects while helping shape how we pursue them.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead estimating efforts on complex heavy civil pursuits
  • Support and mentor estimators across multiple offices
  • Coordinate workloads, schedules, and bid deliverables
  • Partner with operations and leadership on strategy and execution
Drive the Estimate
  • Prepare complete, competitive estimates from takeoff through submission
  • Develop pricing strategies, including labor, equipment, and risk considerations
  • Lead bid reviews and support presentations prior to submission
  • Ensure compliance with owner requirements and bid documents
Build & Improve Systems

  • Build and refine cost data, production assumptions, and estimating tools
  • Track estimate performance and contribute to continuous improvement
Support Growth in Heavy Civil
  • Dams & water infrastructure
  • Mass grading & earthwork
  • Mining infrastructure
  • Develop assumptions, means & methods, and pricing for new work types
  • Support subcontractor strategy and build relationships in emerging scopes
  • Identify risks and opportunities (logistics, access, production, seasonality, design gaps)
  • Support constructability reviews and sequencing strategies
  • Coordinate with field teams to validate means, methods, and production
  • Assist with project handoff, planning, and early-stage execution support
What You Bring
  • ~10+ years of experience in heavy civil estimating
  • Experience leading complex pursuits or supporting major infrastructure bids
  • Ability to mentor, collaborate with, or help lead estimating teams
Technical Strengths
  • Strong understanding of heavy civil means & methods
  • Experience with equipment, production rates, and cost modeling
  • Knowledge of labor, materials, trucking, and pricing strategies
  • Familiarity with risk evaluation and bid strategy
Tools & Analysis
  • Experience with estimating software (HCSS, Timberline, or similar)
  • Comfortable working with data to support pricing and decision-making
Additional Capabilities
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and geotechnical reports
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with leadership teams
  • Organized, able to manage multiple pursuits, and think critically under pressure
Preferred
  • Degree in engineering, construction management, or related field
Why This Role
  • Real opportunity to contribute to a growing heavy civil presence
  • Work on challenging, non-commodity projects
  • Less bureaucracy, more collaboration and ownership
  • A team focused on doing things the right way
  • Flexible office location across Washington, Montana, or Wyoming
  • Strong backlog of work with continued growth across multiple markets
  • Long-term career growth tied directly to company expansion
