Summary Description
Red Dot Corporation is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to support cross‑functional projects within our manufacturing and product development teams. This role provides hands‑on experience across design, manufacturing, and testing environments, offering exposure to real‑world engineering challenges in HVAC systems.
The intern will collaborate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Test teams to support product improvements, design revisions, and production processes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with engineering projects related to product design changes, manufacturing improvements, or testing
- Support cross‑functional collaboration between:
- Design Engineering (DE)
- Manufacturing Engineering (ME)
- Quality Assurance (QA)
- Test Engineering
- Participate in product builds and validation on the manufacturing floor
- Analyze data and provide recommendations for process or product improvements
- Assist in creating or updating:
- Work instructions
- Process documentation
- Test procedures
- Support troubleshooting efforts related to production or product performance
- Present project outcomes and findings at the end of the internship
- Product design revisions or engineering change orders (ECOs)
- Manufacturing process improvements (efficiency, workflow, ergonomics)
- Test validation or data analysis for HVAC systems
- Quality investigations and root cause analysis
- Documentation standardization or process mapping
- Currently pursuing a degree in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Strong interest in manufacturing and product development
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and problem-solving
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Exposure to CAD, data analysis, or basic programming
- Interest in HVAC systems, thermodynamics, or applied physics
- Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) for research or productivity

Red Dot Corporation – Puyallup, WA - Duration:
Mid-June to Mid-August (approx. 8–10 weeks) - Schedule:
Typically 4 days/week (4x10 schedule, Mon–Thurs or Tues–Fri depending on team needs)
- Hands‑on experience in both manufacturing and product development
- Exposure to full product lifecycle: design ? build ? test
- Mentorship from experienced engineers
- Opportunity to contribute to real production projects
- Min: $27.00
- Max: $30.00
