Overview
About the Role:
Ensures the branch meets or exceeds operations standards at all times. Responsible for satisfactory audits. Monitor sales and service goals and coach other team members to deepen customer relationships using Client and Business Financial Review. Develops and maintains strong, long-term relationships with consumers and businesses in local community and consistently provides proactive solutions and problem resolutions in alignment with the bank’s Breakthrough Client Service Standards.
Acts as back up to personal banking team to open new accounts, receive loan requests and gather credit-related information. Manage, lead, train, and coach Tellers. May also oversee personal bankers in collaboration with Branch Manager. Process and oversee technical tasks such as opening and closing of the branch, overdraft monitoring, wire transfers and collections, stop payments, and monitoring branch controls.
- Open new accounts and assist with loan requests and credit information gathering as needed.
- Manage, lead, train, and coach Tellers; may oversee personal bankers in collaboration with the Branch Manager.
- Monitor branch operations, including opening/closing procedures, overdraft monitoring, wire transfers, collections, stop payments, and branch controls.
- Coach team members to achieve sales and service goals and deepen customer relationships.
- Ensure compliance with Breakthrough Client Service Standards and complete satisfactory audits.
- High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s, Vocational, or Technical Degree in banking, business, or related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 2 years of retail banking experience required.
- 1 year of management or supervisory experience preferred.
- 1 year of consumer and small business lending origination experience preferred.
- Customer service background in retail or banking.
- Ability to grow sales by developing long-lasting, knowledge-based relationships with clients and offering customized solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with professional, transparent, and courteous communication.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Proficient use of spreadsheets and banking computer systems; ability to operate office equipment and perform repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to act as a Bank MLO and register as required by the SAFE Act; this position is limited to open-end mortgage transactions (e.g., home equity lines of credit) and is not authorized for closed-end MLO activities.
The pay range for this role is $24.00 - $29.00. The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, details provided during recruitment.
