IT Systems Administrator

The IT Administrator is responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing the organization’s hardware, software, networks, and related systems. This role supports staff by providing technical assistance, troubleshooting issues, and enforcing IT policies and best practices. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to safeguarding company data, resolving user issues and errors, managing user access, monitoring system performance, and ensuring compliance with security standards and organizational objectives.

Job Duties /

Responsibilities Include:

* · Manage user access.

· Install applications, drivers, and updates.

· Set up, schedule, and test software updates.

· Ensure IT policies and best practices are followed.

· Thoroughly record working time, resolutions, conversations, and procedures.

· Maintain hardware and software changes and revisions historical records.

· Manage hardware, setting up and configuring devices.

· Maintain workstations, servers, software, Cloud service, and other technologies.

· Schedule and conduct routine cleanings of workstations and other equipment.

· Confirm system backup success and address errors daily.

· Identify and address any potential IT security risks.

· Educate employees about best security practices and enforce security protocol.

* Education and Experience:

* · High school diploma or equivalent

· 1+ year of VMWare a plus

· 1+ year of Linux a plus

· 1+ year of MSP a plus

· 1+ year of Azure administration a plus

* Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* · A basic knowledge of:

* Onsite and Azure domain environment’s

* Help desk software

· A thorough knowledge of:

* Windows Operating System

* Windows Server 2016+

* Active Directory

* Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, 365 Administration, and formulas in Excel)

* Working Environment:
* This position does not supervise other positions but may assist with training other employees. It is full-time, onsite, Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, and may be expected to work as needed based on company need and for emergencies. This position will regularly travel between all five facilities conducting work primarily in office, manufacturing, and warehouse environments. Loud and/or dusty environments will be encountered.

Some work areas are not temperature controlled, and hot and cold temperatures may be experienced. This individual will primarily work independently but may interact with colleagues and their supervisor as needed throughout the day.
