Tier 1 Onsite Technician

Job Description

Managed Service Provider (MSP) looking for a customer-focused Tier 1 Onsite Technician to join our onsite team. You will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing essential technical support, troubleshooting hardware, networking and software issues, and ensuring a seamless technology experience. This role requires travel to customer locations when neccesary.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level support for hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues.
• Respond to incoming tickets, and emails with urgency and professionalism.
• Diagnose and resolve Windows/macOS, Microsoft 365, and basic network connectivity problems.
• Set up and deploy workstations, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Document all technical actions, resolutions, and client interactions within our ticketing system.
• Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 and Tier 3 support when necessary.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Entry level to 1–2 years of experience in an IT support role (MSP experience is a major plus).
• OS Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Windows 10/11 macOS knowledge a plus. Windows Server OS familiarity a strong Plus
• Strong Hardware diagnostic skills required.
• Software Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft 365 administration (users, groups, passwords).
• Networking: Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, vpns and routers.
• Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication with a patient, customer-first attitude.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot calmly under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Requirements: Must have reliable transportation for local travel to client sites (if applicable).
