Facilities Technician – Core Development & Management

Base pay range: $23.00/hr – $29.00/hr

Summary:

The Facilities Technician performs day‑to‑day service and maintenance on cardio and strength equipment, delivering an exceptional member experience.

• Repair out‑of‑order equipment and receive club sign‑off.
• Communicate daily with the Facilities Manager about progress and obstacles.
• Achieve KPI scorecard results at standard levels.
• Manage the helpdesk ticketing system for assigned clubs.
• Perform preventive maintenance walk‑throughs at each location, including gym floor, storage, backroom, exterior, and cleaning supplies.
• Maintain and update work schedules using Microsoft Outlook.
• Assist with construction and pres as needed.
• Assist with re‑equips, extractions, and installations.
• Maintain company vehicle inventory and cleanliness.
• Document warranted equipment work, targeting at least 10% of allotted time toward warranty work.
• Assist other Facilities team members as needed.

• Mechanical and electrical service background, highly desired.
• Experience working in a fitness club, preferred.
• Must have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills:
  Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Dependable, responsible, takes initiative.
• Works well independently and on a team.
• Strong customer service skills and highly effective communicator.

• Repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and fingers in activities such as grasping and handling hand tools.
• Significant walking, bending, lifting, and squatting with the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Occasional exposure to toxic chemicals during shift.
• Average hearing and voice projection abilities to participate in phone, web, and large group communications.
• High visual demand, with ability to view close‑up and color documents and spreadsheets, both in print format and on computer screens.

Placement within the established pay range for each role will be determined based on a combination of relevant skills, years of experience, performance history, market competitiveness, and local wage benchmarks.
