Reporting To: Club Manager

Status: Non-Exempt, Part-Time

Salary: $22.00 - $24.00/Hourly DOE

Employee Owner Position Purpose

The Porter is responsible for the cleaning and work inspections of clubhouses and other common areas of the community. Key areas of focus include maintaining a clean and orderly environment, ensuring appropriate supplies are stocked, and performing light maintenance and non‑routine support as needed.

Job Duties And Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of cleaning/maintenance duties in designated areas, including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, painting, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning.
  • Remove garbage and recycling from premises and assist in emergency cleaning.
  • Safely handle cleaning supplies and related chemicals in accordance with OSHA requirements.
  • Set up and take down events for the community, including tents, tables, chairs, furniture, linens, stage, etc.
  • Inspect all assigned areas daily.
  • Notify supervisor of deficiencies or needed repairs.
  • Manage emergency cleaning and upkeep requests, particularly hazards.
  • Troubleshoot minor maintenance issues as requested.
  • Complete daily work orders as scheduled.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment for assigned areas.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Experience in custodial/maintenance services, generally between 1-2 years.
  • Superior multi‑tasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to provide high‑level customer service with astute attention to detail and organization.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Ability to manage workflow amid shifting priorities.
  • Adaptable and dependable with a solid attendance record.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies promptly.
  • Basic computer skills are a big plus.
  • Professional and respectful demeanor with all internal and external customers at all times.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
Special

Position Requirements
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company policy.
Essential Functions
  • Use standard office equipment, including computer, phone, copier/scanner, etc.
  • Use standard cleaning equipment, including broom, mop, vacuum, etc.
  • Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 14 ft on A‑frames and 21 ft on extension ladders).
  • Be stationary or in motion for extended periods of time.
  • Able to lift, pull, push, and relocate up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to crawl in small and tight spaces.
  • Able to perform outdoor work in all weather conditions.

Schedule & Travel
  • Schedule:

    Tuesday – Saturday, 3:30 – 8:30 pm.
  • May be required to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must be available a minimum of two weeks per month to answer emergency after‑hour calls.
