Track Line Operator

Pay or shift range: $21 USD to $26.20 USD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job‑related reasons.

Running parts for track assembly.

• Obtain work orders and production schedule and choose raw materials accordingly.
• Perform quality assurance inspections to assure raw materials meet established standards.
• Inspect track for accuracy.
• Apply product and identification labels.
• Adjust tooling to specific setting for multiple types of product and perform tool changes as needed.
• Load and unload coil using the crane.
• Down stack finished parts into bundles for proper storage.
• Other job duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Production experience preferred.

• Must be able to read a tape measure accurately.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance and more than 50 lbs using a team‑lift.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Good hand‑eye coordination.
• Skill in using power and/or hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.

This position involves standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day. It requires grasping and fine finger manipulation on both hands. The position requires stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. The plant is not climate controlled. Noise levels can become high. NWD provides and requires hearing protection in the department. The work is done in an area where moving mechanical machinery, parts or vibration are located.

This position requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Tape measure, chop saw, drill press, band saw, cut down press, overhead crane, angle grinder and calipers.
