Production Assembler-Carton Shop

Summary Description

Assembles precut steel garage door sections using hand and power tools. May be required to perform functions of other jobs within the department.

• Obtain work orders and production schedule and assemble materials accordingly
• Install rubberized seal onto edge of sections
• Install end cap onto sections
• Stack sections including running sections through banding machine
• Perform quality assurance inspection

• High School Diploma or GED.
• No previous experience required; some transferable experience preferred.

• Must be able to read a tape measure accurately.
• Able to lift 50-75 lbs safely.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time (10-12 hour days).
• Good hand-eye coordination.

This position is in a manufacturing plant. It will involve standing, walking, and lifting for long periods. The plant is not climate controlled and requires employees to dress appropriately. Noise levels can become high; hearing protection is provided and required.
