Wound Management and Dermatology Fellow
Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
Our mission is to change the lives of others suffering from complex and severe skin conditions by improving access to highly skilled skin and wound specialists. One in four American families has a family member suffering from a chronic wound, and access to specialists remains limited across our country. Mortality following major limb related amputations remains higher than most major types of cancer.
United Wound Healing’s fellowship training in wound management, dermatology, and limb preservation provides fellows with the necessary skills and board-certifications to enter your practice with the confidence gained from our 1-year program mentored by the leading experts and specialists in our field.
Who we are looking forRecent Advanced Practice Provider graduates, or seasoned NPs and PAs with a passion and desire for advanced training and certification with a focus on geriatric and homebound patients.
What our Fellowship looks like- Train and collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams
- Travel to scheduled locations weekly for clinical training and hands-on experience in various post-acute care settings including skilled nursing facilities, house wound rounds, and house calls in Western Washington
- Customized didactic training in wound management, dermatology and limb preservation with opportunities for fellows to obtain board-certifications from the American Board of Wound Management and the NCCPA’s CAQ in Dermatology
- Participate in research projects together with Open Wound Research
- Collaborate virtually with our medical faculty including board-certified physicians and surgeons specializing in wound care, dermatology, podiatry, vascular surgery, and infectious disease
- This fast-paced position requires standing for extended amounts of time
- Driving! You must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance
- Board Certified NP (NP, FNP, ARNP, APRN) or PA-C licensed in Washington State
- Must be flexible, punctual, dependable, and able to work/schedule appointments as needed
- Must be trustworthy, honest and have a positive and professional attitude
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people through both verbal and written communication lines
Compensation Range: $78,000.00
Anticipated Territory: Washington State (home base), potential areas for travel; OR, , UT, CA, HI
This position is classified as: Salary, Exempt;
Full-Time employment
Hours: Typical hours are Monday through Friday; 6:00am – 3:00pm, no nights, weekends, or call
