Requirements:
- Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing, or higher, required.
- Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
- BLS and ACLS required.
- PALS certification required within 90 days of start date if assigned ASC services pediatrics.
- Minimum one year licensed RN experience in Pre Op/PACU (i.e. ICU, ED) or licensed RN with no experience in Pre Op/PACU and enrolled in Perianesthesia Academy with successful completion within 4 months.
- New licensed RN enrolled in the Perianesthesia Academy with successful completion within 4 months.
- Minimum two years licensed RN experience in Pre Op/PACU for PRN positions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and postoperative planning needs.
- Formulate and implement individualized patient care plans based on assessment data and team collaborations.
- Review and report abnormal diagnostic and laboratory data to physicians and other caregivers.
- Provide direct patient care and coordinate activities of the healthcare team in compliance with standards and regulations.
- Evaluate patients' progress towards outcomes and revise care plans as necessary.
- Document all assessments, plans, interventions, and evaluations in patient records accurately and timely.
Compliance / Notes:
- Perform all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.
- Participate in facility shared leadership and educational activities for staff and patients.
