Registered Nurse – Mother Baby / Postpartum (12-Hour Days)

Puyallup, WA

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (0700–1900) | Rotating Weekends

• Provide direct nursing care to antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients in a Level II Perinatal Center environment serving patients 32 weeks and above
• Perform cervical exams, administer Pitocin, manage epidurals, conduct amnio infusions, and maintain continuous fetal monitoring in accordance with AWHONN guidelines
• Deliver postpartum couplet care for stable mothers and newborns, including basic breastfeeding support, during the transition period and beyond
• Administer and manage medications including magnesium and substance abuse-related medication management; maintain IV access and utilize IV pumps
• Operate and document within EMR systems (EPIC Stork, GE Centricity) and utilize Pyxis medication dispensing and HUGS security systems
• Float between Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby units as needed, within areas of demonstrated competency

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Washington
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery and/or Mother Baby nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Fetal monitoring certification (AWHONN or Relia's module)
• Proficiency with Pyxis medication dispensing system

• Experience with EPIC Stork and/or GE Centricity EMR platforms
• Familiarity with HUGS infant security systems
• Experience with high-volume delivery units (175–200 deliveries per month)
• Comfort with couplet care for stable mother-baby dyads following the transition period

• Work within a well-supported unit offering 24/7 hospitalist, laborist, and respiratory therapy coverage, along with on-site NICU and phlebotomy services
• Scrubs provided and free parking available on-site
