Role Overview
Quality Production Specialist (Material Review/Investigation) – Level 3, located on the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) site in Puyallup, Washington. Supports the Investigations team onsite, focusing on quality management, root‑cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action for aerospace components and systems.
Responsibilities- Reviews and validates product non‑conformances and disposition type, ensuring compliance with quality procedures, engineering requirements, and contractual or regulatory obligations.
- Performs analysis to evaluate the quality of products, operations, and processes against the Quality Management System and applicable standards.
- Applies aerospace design, systems, and integration knowledge to conduct failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
- Trains and mentors colleagues on the Quality Management System.
- Conducts root cause analysis of non‑conformance events to identify causes and prevent recurrence.
- Independently develops, modifies, and documents corrective and preventive actions, documenting resolutions.
- Obtains corrective action on non‑conforming plans and hardware/processes, negotiates concurrence, and prioritizes quality activities to ensure problem resolution.
- Reviews and validates corrective action plans, assessing effectiveness and ensuring completion.
- Approves Quality planning changes or disposition of non‑conformance hardware/products/processes.
- Guides validation of configuration management, quality procedures, and material review policies to deliver software products.
- Develops software system processes to support changing industry standards.
- Implements corrective action on audit results to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering definitions.
- Interprets industry standards and provides implementation recommendations.
- Creates analytical reports and coordinates distribution with internal and external parties.
- Works under general direction.
- 3+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environments.
- 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- 3+ years of experience conducting Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) on complex technical issues.
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- 3+ years of experience in verification of requirements (command media).
- 3+ years of experience working with multiple internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- 1+ year of experience assisting in the flow‑down of quality requirements within the build plan.
- 1+ year of experience with the Boeing Production System (BPS).
- 1+ year of experience as a Quality Inspector.
Pay range: $95,200 – $128,800, based on experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.
Union‑represented position (Boeing Commercial Airplanes).
