DELIVERY DRIVER TRAINEE Job Description

Job Summary Highway Specialties is an established and growing Northwest leader in traffic control safety equipment sales and rentals. As the Delivery Driver Trainee, you will make deliveries and pick‑ups to and from our customers and Highway Specialties locations.

• Safely loads and unloads cargo.
• Makes deliveries and picks up product to and from customers.
• Transfers product between Highway Specialties locations.
• Learns the basic operations of all equipment that Highway Specialties rents and or sells.
• Supports team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication.
• Provides quick action on time-sensitive issues.
• Gains product knowledge and learns industry terms.

• Assists customers picking up orders and returning products.
• Keeps work vehicles clean and reports damage or maintenance needs to supervisor promptly.
• Creates customer relationships.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Clean driving record and ability to be insured
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen
• Have reliable transportation to and from work
• Familiarity with towing equipment and trailers
• Prior industry experience
