Overnight Waste Hauler

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Schedule:

evening start (7pm to 9pm) with 10 to 12 hour shifts Monday through Friday

Compensation: up to $30.50/hr starting + Teamster Union Benefits Package

16207 Meridian Ave E, Puyallup

As an Overnight Waste Hauler, your primary responsibilities will be to transport various types of liquid wastes from our temporary holding tanks to various disposal facilities to be processed. You will play a vital role in ensuring safe and efficient waste transportation, while adhering to all DOT requirements and maintaining strong customer service.

• Safely operate waste transport vehicles, ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations and requirements
• Transport different types of liquid wastes from temporary holding tanks to designated disposal facilities
• Maintain strong customer service skills when interacting with clients and addressing their needs
• Complete all required documentation accurately and in compliance with company procedures
• Adhere to proper waste disposal protocols and follow company guidelines for waste handling
• Perform basic computer tasks as required
• Perform pumping and cleaning of septic tanks and grease traps as directed, troubleshooting and repairing septic systems when necessary
• Assist in locating and digging up tanks when required; this physically demanding aspect is integral to the role
• Take on miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

• Excellent communication skills
• Basic computer skills

• Valid CDL Class A (Required)
• Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience
• Tanker endorsement before day 1 of employment (Required)
• Clean driving record

Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the job including:

• • heavy lifting or carrying
  • bending
  • heavy driving
• Willingness to work overnight shifts and participate in on-call rotation
