Pay Range: $30.25 - $36.75 per hour, based on mandatory. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses, premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met. Potential first‑year earnings of $82,864.60 based on average route hours; actual annual earnings may vary based on length of route.
Job SummaryOperate a class 8 tractor‑trailer to deliver goods to store locations as part of the company fleet. Home daily, 5‑day work week, no weekends. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Operate a commercial Class 8 tractor‑trailer to complete safe, timely, and accurate route deliveries in compliance with DOT and company regulations.
- Utilize electric pallet jacks and lift gates to load, unload and deliver merchandise to designated store locations.
- Follow assigned routes, stops, and schedules to ensure efficient deliveries within set time frames.
- Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, maintain Hours of Service logs, and comply with FMCSA regulations.
- Secure all loads, vehicle doors, and alarms before and after each stop; ensure proper delivery verification and manage returned merchandise.
- Assist with various delivery routes as needed to support operational requirements.
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations, logbook, and vehicle inspections.
- Maintain a clean MVR and a valid DOT physical status.
- Pass pre‑employment and random drug and alcohol tests.
- Hold a current Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
- Maintain ability to work flexible hours.
