The Category Executive will support the growth and management of an emerging partner portfolio within the grocery vertical. Focusing on specific categories such as supermarkets, butcheries, fruits and vegetables specialists, dates and sweets, spices, and other niche areas, the Category Executive will drive revenue, enhance partner relationships, expand the product portfolio, and optimize category performance. This role requires strong analytical skills, business development acumen, and proficiency in data tools such as Excel to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

- Identify and onboard emerging partners, including supermarkets, butcheries, and specialty vendors like fruits and vegetables suppliers, dates and sweets producers, and spice merchants.
- Conduct market research to identify potential partners and growth opportunities in assigned categories.
- Work with partners to ensure competitive pricing, product availability, and portfolio alignment with customer needs.
- Build and nurture relationships with partners to foster long term collaboration.
- Act as a primary point of contact for partners, addressing their needs and resolving any issues promptly.
- Educate partners on platform benefits, marketing opportunities, and operational best practices.
- Collaborate with partners to design and execute promotions, campaigns, and bundling offers.
- Use data driven insights to identify opportunities for revenue growth and margin improvement.
- Work closely with the marketing team to enhance partner visibility and drive traffic to product offerings.
- Develop pricing strategies to ensure competitive positioning and improved margins.
- Monitor category profitability and provide recommendations for adjustments.
- Conduct competitor analysis to stay ahead of market trends and ensure pricing competitiveness.
- Work with the operations team to ensure smooth fulfillment, stock availability, and timely deliveries.
- Assist in resolving operational issues such as stock discrepancies or delivery delays.
- Monitor partner compliance with operational and quality standards.
- Analyze sales performance, partner growth, and customer behavior using Excel and other data tools.
- Prepare detailed reports and dashboards to track category KPIs and partner performance.
- Provide actionable insights to the management team for decision making and strategy refinement.
- Collaborate with Category Managers to align on broader category strategies and goals.
- Work closely with the marketing, operations, and supply chain teams to execute category plans.
- Participate in cross functional team meetings to share updates and provide insights.
- Analytical thinker with a strong aptitude for data and problem solving.
- Proactive, self motivated, and goal oriented.
- Adaptable to a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Certifications in category management, data analytics, or related areas are a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in category management, sales, account management, or business development in grocery, FMCG, or e commerce.
- Demonstrated experience in supplier or partner management and portfolio growth.
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level preferred) and familiarity with data analysis tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Business development skills with a focus on partner acquisition and relationship building.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in Arabic is a strong advantage.
