Librarian Indian Community in Lusail

We are seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Librarian to manage the library for the Indian community in Lusail. The ideal candidate should have experience in cataloging, organizing, and maintaining library materials, as well as providing reference services and promoting literacy and information literacy. The job requires proficiency in English and familiarity with Indian culture and literature. A valid biometric passport is required for this position.

• Manage and maintain the library collection, including cataloging, shelving, and weeding materials
• Assist patrons with finding resources and provide reference services
• Develop programs to promote literacy and information literacy within the Indian community
• Collaborate with other organizations to provide cultural programs and events
• Maintain library budget, order new materials as needed
• Train volunteers or assistants in library procedures
• Keep up-to-date records of library transactions and statistics

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a library setting
• Familiarity with Indian culture and literature
• Proficiency in English is required
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patrons of all ages
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: 1500$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
