Junior Data Analyst; Finance

Overview

In this position, you will be the dedicated analytical bridge between our central BI & Engineering teams and our Finance business units. As a Junior Data Analyst, your core function is to ensure that our massive transactional and operational Super App data perfectly aligns with our financial metrics. You will interpret complex datasets, automate financial reports, and provide actionable insights to ensure growth is backed by clear financial clarity.

• Maintain, update, and automate weekly and monthly data extracts and financial KPI dashboards (e.g., GMV tracking, revenue burn rates, unit economics per vertical).
• Partner with Finance to reconcile operational transactional data from the Super App warehouse with accounting and billing systems; ensure data ties out accurately.
• Support the Finance team by querying, structuring, and cleaning historical data sets required for budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning models.
• Build, optimize, and maintain user‑friendly data visualizations in Tableau/Power BI for corporate finance stakeholders and leadership.
• Respond to requests from finance leadership to investigate specific trends or anomalies (e.g., delivery cost fluctuations, merchant payout discrepancies, marketing promo ROI).
• Collaborate with data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers to ensure data pipelines capture correct financial attributes.

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or financial field (Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Information Systems).
• Strong foundational proficiency in SQL (queries, joins, aggregation) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, data structuring).
• Hands‑on experience or academic projects building dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy; drive to identify errors before reaching leadership.
• Effective communication skills with ability to translate complex database tables into clear, actionable insights for financial stakeholders.
• Ability to learn quickly, prioritize tasks, and meet critical deadlines in a fast‑paced, scaling environment.

• Foundational understanding of basic corporate finance concepts (Income Statements, P/L, margins, accounting basics).
• Familiarity with Python or R for basic data manipulation and scripting (e.g., Pandas).
• Prior internship or academic exposure related to e‑commerce, food delivery, logistics, or parcel delivery services.
