Marketplace Finance Analyst — Turn Data into Profit & Growth

As a Business Finance Analyst - Commercial (Marketplace), you will work closely with the Business Finance Specialist – Commercial (Marketplace) and support the Marketplace GM and Commercial teams. This role is designed as a hands-on execution and analytics partner, providing the data, analysis, and reporting that enable better commercial decisions. 🛠 What You’ll Get Your Hands On

• Work closely with the Business Finance Specialist to support day-to-day commercial finance activities
• Assist in tracking and maintaining Marketplace P&Ls (revenue, take-rates, and contribution margins)
• Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports and variance analyses
• Build and maintain dashboards, trackers, and scorecards used by Commercial and Finance teams
• Ensure data accuracy across reports, models, and performance metrics
• Turn large, complex datasets into structured and reliable insights
• Support analysis of pricing, commissions, promotions, and incentives
• Assist in evaluating campaigns, partnerships, and new initiatives (ROI, payback, and margin impact)
• Track performance against targets and proactively flag risks or gaps
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles through data preparation and model updates
• Help translate analysis into clear and actionable summaries for internal stakeholders

🧙♂️ The Magic You Bring

• Strong foundation in Business Finance, Commercial Finance, or Business Partnering, with a track record of effectively supporting commercial decision-making
• Strong understanding of revenue models, unit economics, take-rates, and margins, with the ability to identify the key drivers of performance
• Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills, with no fear of working with large and complex datasets
• Confident and constructive, with the ability to challenge assumptions when the numbers tell a different story
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous, high-growth environments where structure is built along the way

✨ Bonus Points If You Have

• 3+ years of experience in Commercial Finance, Business Finance, FP&A, or Business Partnering, ideally within food delivery, q-commerce, marketplaces, e-commerce, or other tech-enabled consumer businesses, partnering closely with Commercial or Account Management teams
• Strong understanding of marketplace economics, pricing strategies, promotional mechanics, and customer incentives, with the ability to identify where profitability is created or eroded
• Hands-on experience with enterprise planning tools (TM1 / IBM Planning Analytics or similar) and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
