CNC Machinist
As a CNC Machinist you will be responsible for working together with the team to manufacture low to medium quantity surgical instruments using CNC Mills, Lathes, and Wire EDM machines. The opportunities range from learning on conversational mills and lathes all the way to programming and operating high-end automated 5-Axis milling machines. Openings available on 1st and 2nd Shift.

- Friday 7:00am to 4:30pm 2nd
Shift: Monday
- Friday 3:00pm to 12:00am (15% shift differential)
We currently operate state-of-the-art:
- Multi-axis Mills
- Multi-axis Turning Centers
- Swiss Lathes
- WEDM and SEDM
CNC Machining:
Efficiently operate a lathe, swiss lathe, wire EDM, 3-Axis mill, and/or 5-Axis mill to machine parts.
CNC Setup and Operation:
Follow a setup sheet or look at a program on CAM and set up a job.
Evaluate a part and come up with a plan to effectively make it. Experience with HAAS, TRAK, or Heidenhain is a plus.
Inspecting your work and adjusting tool and machine offsets to make sure the parts are correct.
Cutting tool and toolpath knowledge:
You may be given the opportunity to push the limits of current cutting tool technology.
Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, height gauges, etc.).
Assist in developing and documenting repeatable processes for transition to production.
Maintain safe, clean, and organized work area in accordance with safety standards.
High School Diploma or GED required; vocational training in precision machining highly desirable.
Prior experience operating and setting up CNC Mills or Lathes (CNC lathe, 3-Axis mill, and/or 5-Axis mill).
CNC Programming experience preferred (BUT NOT NECESSARY).
Ability to read and understand blueprints including GD&T tolerancing with profile tolerancing preferred.
Proficient in measurement tool usage (micrometer, caliper, comparator, height gauge, etc.)
Detail oriented, meticulous and focus on quality.
Ability to work in a team, strong interpersonal skills, effective communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Optional overtime on Saturdays (as needed)
