Position: Information Release Technician (OA) with Security Clearance
Duties
* Receive and review all incoming Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act (FOIA/PA) requests.
* Search all law enforcement databases for responsive records to requests.
* Prepare correspondence and memorandums.
* Conduct inquiries and special interest requests received under authority of law or policy.
* Determine additional contacts and refer requesters to appropriate agencies to coordinate and re-adjust requirement and provide interim replies when unexpected data is revealed, no results are realized, or replies are subject to unavoidable delay.
* Use knowledge and experience of procedures, record keeping, and automated system search procedures employing variations of search criteria to locate potentially responsive records.
* Mail correspondence/memorandums/records - utilizing the appropriate method (especially for CLASSIFIED docs), i.e, Registered, Certified. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* Employee of the position will be required to complete a Form SF 313, Classified Information Nondisclosure Agreement.
* Position is designated Critical-Sensitive (3) which requires access to classified information and requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a single scope background investigation (SSBI) and a Top Secret Security Clearance.
* Required to sign a DA Form 5019-R (Condition of Employment for Certain Positions Identified as Critical Under the Drug Abuse Testing Program) and must pass urinalysis testing as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter. Qualifications Who May Apply:
