NCIS Network Engineer Communications Engineer (Quantico, VA)
Join Life Cycle Engineering in support of the NCIS IT support services mission headquartered in Quantico, Virginia. The Information Technology Directorate (ITD) supports the NCIS core mission areas to investigate and defeat criminal, terrorist, and foreign intelligence threats by planning for and providing services through appropriate use of the people, equipment, technology, and infrastructure resources of the United States (U.S.) Navy and Marine Corps.
This position is expected to start in Q3 of 2026.
Position SummaryThe Network Engineer will act as a technical leader for all personnel engaged in the delivery of enterprise scale solutions and provide an outstanding customer service experience in a variety of circumstances across all organizational levels.
Clearance Requirements- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (TS/SCI eligibility)
- Designs, builds, and maintains enterprise network infrastructure and Cisco Unified Communication Manager clusters.
- Monitors voice/video resources across multiple enclaves.
- Manages routing (OSPF, BGP), switching, and security appliances (Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower).
- 10 years of computer system/network engineering experience.
- Proficiency with Cisco Client, DNA, and ASR routers.
- CCNP Collaboration or CLCOR exam completion required for VoIP roles.
- Regular physical activity including walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting.
- Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance.
- Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment.
