Position: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will direct in-house teams, design agencies, and/or contractors responsible for studies; design of projects through concept development; preparation for both final "design bid build" and "design build" construction bid documents.
* You will provide electrical engineering expertise and broad technical authority over the direction of the day-to-day development of large and/or politically sensitive multi-million dollar projects.
* You will develop or conduct development of complete working drawing and specifications for "design bid build" projects and development of request for proposal for "design build" projects.
* You will be responsible for providing expert electrical engineering design technical advice on complex projects to construction management engineers and contracting officers to ensure the successful management of any post-award aspect of construction
* You will perform and/or monitor the review of contractor submittals including shop drawings, catalog data, brochures, and samples.
* You will provide technical management advice to construction engineers regarding completion all actions necessary to insure completion of facility to the satisfaction of the contract and the customer. Requirements Conditions of employment

* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
* This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition

Functional Area

and category assigned to the position is required within established category time frames.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an Engineering and Technical Management, Practitioner acquisition certification within 60 months of employment in accordance with DoD Instruction 5000.66.
* You will be required to complete 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every two (2) years, in accordance with DoDI 5000.66. Failure to meet these requirements could result in disciplinary action and/or removal from employment.
* You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift. Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Providing technical direction and advice in the specialty field of electrical engineering as it relates to design of various structures and facilities, power distribution systems and substations, proposed or approved for design and construction.
